Scrum Master

QuantuMDx are looking for an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to join our team. We are offering an exciting opportunity to develop software for the Q-POC™ platform which is designed to diagnose infectious disease within minutes and make a real impact on human healthcare.

Overview

The Scrum Master will be responsible for planning, leading, organising, and controlling all phases of multiple software development projects with QuantuMDx’s scrum teams comprising software developers, product owners, and test engineers. They are expected to develop and manage project schedules, internal and external stakeholders, project risks and issues, etc. in support of the successful completion of the project. Additional responsibilities will include managing customer expectations and working with all necessary QuantuMDx departments to ensure successful project delivery. Working in an agile development model, you will be a key element in the drive to develop powerful software within the IEC 62304 regulatory framework.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

You should have a strong background maintaining Scrum Teams. This experience should include direct exposure to the medical device/diagnostic industry, so you have a natural understanding of how to develop software that meets the regulatory requirements for this sector.

Performing a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:

  • Ensure the completion of all stages of the development lifecycle including the development of project plans, status, and budget reports for several projects across
  • QuantuMDx Group, while maintaining focus on the Customer
  • Concurrently manage several projects of different sizes, in different lifecycle phases and geographies
  • Assist the product owner with the product backlog and new requests
  • Coach cross-functional project team members on scrum processes to ensure maximum participation and productivity
  • Quality Assurance – ensuring procedures are being followed and reviewing results
  • Risk analysis management and reporting
  • Project status reporting
  • Provide support with the setting up and day to day running of projects
  • Handle queries and client requests, and troubleshoot where necessary
  • Assist in the effective planning and coordination of external and internal resources
  • Maintain PMO documentation and projects repository

Experience, knowledge and requirements

Essential

  • Proven Agile Software Development experience
  • A Professional accreditation: PMI, Scrum Master or SAFe Scrum Master
  • Eligible to work full time in the UK without restriction
  • Minimum BEng/BSc (or equivalent) in a Computer Science, Computer Science and Electronics, or Software Engineering degree
  • Experience of embedded firmware development and working with bootloaders
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum ceremonies and techniques (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
  • Good problem-solving skills, – “Getting things done” mindset
  • 1-3 years of Scrum Master experience

QuantuMDx plans to launch a range of syndromic multiplex testing assays over the coming months and years.
