Paradigm shift in MDx

DNA Sequencing
Q-SEQ

QuantuMDx is developing its Q-SEQ device - an optics-free DNA sequencing system aiming to provide low cost genomic sequencing to the masses by performing both inexpensive sequencing runs, highly multiplex runs (many genomes per run) and low device costs, enabling small to medium size institutions to enter the genome sequencing field.

"Our genome sequencer will perform both long read lengths and highly parallel sequencing, to provide the definitive in sequence data" Jonathan O'Halloran, CSO

Unlike other whole genome sequencing methods, Q-SEQ’s core sequencing technology  has the capability of being deployed on hand-held devices for molecular diagnostics, thus providing additional revenue opportunities.  Furthermore, the device is expected to cost a fraction of competitors’ devices allowing a rapid roll-out to small and medium size institutions – which is uncharted territory for this type of sequencer.
