Professor of Clinical Genetics at Newcastle University, consultant specialist and former chair, Newcastle Hospitals, Professor Burn was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to Medicine and Healthcare. Former roles include President of the European Society of Human Genetics and board member of NHS England. He helped create the Millennial landmark International Centre for Life where QuantuMDx began and leads an international research consortium performing cancer prevention trials.

Martin is a highly experienced corporate leader with a 35 year-long career in finance & investment. He has advised or managed multiple companies and investments in life sciences, from spin-outs, growth capital, MBOs, M&A through to IPO, trade sale and private equity exits. He managed the Excalibur and Arthurian VC funds, was co-founder of Arix Bioscience PLC, sits on the boards of Interrad Medical LLC, EDX Medical Group and was a Partnership Board Member of the Liverpool Life Sciences Accelerator.

James is the managing partner and co-founder of Vita Spring IVD Fund, who participated as the institutional investor, and support the management team in fund raising and strategic development. Prior to his investment career, he worked as an investment banker for seven years and was an Executive Director in Goldman Sachs.

With over 22 years in the IVD industry, Fan Xu is a leading expert in molecular diagnostics, spanning R&D, engineering, and industrialisation. He holds 48 invention patents and has contributed to 10+ major national research projects in China. At Sansure Biotech, he held senior leadership roles and spearheaded the development of pioneering POCT systems, earning recognition as a Leading Figure in China’s IVD Industry in 2019.
